Kimberly Hartman is not your typical designer. Born and raised in Texas, Hartman spent a fair amount of years working in fashion, an industry she felt passionate about. It was no surprise that while vacationing in Laos she came up with the idea of starting a handbag company that focuses on fair trade. She purchases hand-dyed textiles from women all over small rural towns and hires more women (at a fair wage) to create the magnificent pieces that constitute her collection.
